Fundamental Advanced Sailing Topics
Winter 2022-2023, Huguenot YC Jr Sailing is providing two Advanced Sailing and Seamanship Seminars – Thursday Evenings on a wide range of subjects, one day a month in March and April.

- 2nd Thursday night each month from 5:00 pm – 7:30 pm, March and April
- Huguenot Jr Sailing Room
- open to all JS alumni and the 4.7 frostbite group.
- two nights
- $35 each night ($25 members)
The price includes materials, pizza, and snacks.
Pre-registration is required.
Each night will consist of a tabletop discussion, hands-on practice, and a game related to each session.

Care and Maintenance of your Sails and Boat – Tim Longo
Cleaning a boat. How a boat is built, fiber glass, gelcoat. Taking care of your sails.
Table Top Discussion:
- How boats are built: wood, fiberglass, gelcoat.
- How to take care of our boat, how to clean.
- How to make boat repairs.
- How to maintain your sails in top racing condition.
Hands-on Activities:
- Cleaning Tim's Laser.
- Drying and Folding a sail instead of stuffing it into a bag wet.

HYC Jr Sailing Committee appreciates all the hard work and perseverance of the sailors, parents, and coaches through the Summer of 2023; This Summer we hope to "accentuate the positive, eliminate the negative, latch on to the affirmative, spread joy up to the maximum, and bring gloom down to the minimum." -- same as last year ????
The first Open House for registration will be Sunday, January 28th, 2024, from 1 pm to 4 pm. There will be discounts for all who register by Monday.
The second Open House for registration will be Sunday, March 3th, 2024, from 1 pm to 4 pm. There will be somewhat smaller discounts for all who register by Monday..
